About ICFI

Our History

ICFI was founded in August of 2010 by Macara and Lenny Aloi. After their own personal struggle with infertility they saw a need for an organization to provide Indiana-specific resources, an organization of infertility information, and an advocate for support and awareness.  Since starting their journey towards parenthood, Macara and Lenny were blessed with their son, Charlie, after participating in an IVF clinical trial (Charlie was a frozen embryo!) and are active licensed therapeutic foster parents; their family is always evolving and they wouldn’t want it any other way.

The Indiana Collaboration for Families with Infertility (ICFI) provides support, resources, and education for families struggling with infertility.

Macara Aloi, Founder and Volunteer Executive Director

Macara graduated with a degree in communications from Purdue University and has worked in the nonprofit field since.  In her free time, Macara loves playing sports, especially tennis and basketball, and spending time outdoors hiking and biking.  Thanks to a successful IVF frozen transfer as part of a clinical trial, Macara and Lenny welcomed their son, Charlie, into this world on June 16, 2011!

Lenny Aloi, IT Guru
Lenny Aloi graduated from Purdue University with a bachelors degree in Computer and Information Technology. He then stayed at Purdue to earn his masters’ degree in Technology. Lenny is currently employed by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

Stephanie Laskey, Fertility and Family Building Fair Coordinator
Stephanie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and  her masters’ degree in public health from IUPUI.  Stephanie is currently serving as the volunteer fair coordinator for the second year and works full time for the Social Health Association of Indiana.
