*Length of internship as well as time frame is to be determined
*12 hours per week; hours are negotiable

Requirements
*Ability to self-manage and create own opportunities.
*Ability to communicate with outside organizations and individuals in a professional manner, in person, on the phone, and via e-mail.
*Strong verbal and written skills, including proper grammar and spelling.
*High school diploma required; current college student preferred
*Personal computer or access to a computer is required for telecommute option
*Reliable transportation
*Ability to make evening meeting once a month (dates and times provided ahead of time)

About this Role
ICFI is currently seeking a PR and marketing intern to work directly with the Executive Director on raising community awareness and revamping the organization. Tasks will include the creation, design, and completion of the 2011-2012 annual report and organizational monthly newsletters. This intern will also be responsible for the organization’s social media presence as well as advertising for the organization’s many services and events, creating press releases, and reaching out for community recognition. Additionally, the intern will assist in other aspects of a health-care non-profit. This part of the internship can be tailored to personal interests, and may include drafting petitions and letters to government officials and/or organizing advocacy events as well as grant research and writing.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an undergraduate or graduate student in a field related to nonprofit management, public health, PR/Marketing, or other related field. This intern must have exceptional writing and communication skills and have experience working with both social media and computer design programs. The internship is approximately November 1st-April 30th (dates can be flexible). If additional hours are needed for course credit after April, these hours can be completed by working on additional projects for ICFI. Additional projects will be assigned based on the preferences of the intern and the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
*Assist key staff with PR surrounding organizational events
*General organizational PR and Marketing responsibilities including but not limited to newsletter and website management, writing press releases, social media management, and partnership communication
*Community outreach
*Creation and design of organizational annual report

About This Role
ICFI is currently looking for an intern to assist the Health Fair Coordinator in planning the second annual Fertility and Family Building Fair. This will include securing corporate and foundation sponsorships, recruiting information and service providers, recruiting speakers, advertising the fair, recruiting volunteers, recruiting attendees, and creating an evaluation plan for the fair. Additionally, the intern will assist in other aspects of a health-care non-profit. This part of the internship can be tailored to personal interests, and may include drafting petitions and letters to government officials, grant research and writing, or creating an evaluation plan for ICFI’s other support services.
The ideal candidate for this position will be an undergraduate or graduate student in a field related to non-profit management, health care, public health, or other related field. The intern must be comfortable making calls to secure corporate and foundation sponsorships and communicating with professionals in a variety of fields including medical, media, and corporate giving. The internship will last until at least April 2013. If additional hours are needed for course credit after April, these hours can be completed by working on additional projects for ICFI. Additional projects will be assigned based on the preferences of the intern and the needs of the organization.
